Had a great time over the weekend at the #Instameet on Manasota Key. Big thank you to @shellekelle and everyone else who had a part in organizing a great meet. Also big thanks to @sandbartikigrille for being so accommodating 🌴🌅
An intense sea-breeze thunderstorm over Port Charlotte, FL. Check out how beautiful the rain curtains are illuminated with the lightning strike. Thunderstorms will be favoriting the west coast of Florida for the next several days⚡️

It's starting to become a very active week for storms here in South West Florida. Here's a huge lightning strike I captured last night over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Great night chasing with @stormvisuals & @tornadoslayer_ ⚡️
Chances for storms increasing today throughout Florida. High temperatures will fuel some pretty strong cells as long as we get some seabreeze boundary collisions. I’m expecting daily storms starting now and going on for the next few months as we enter the Florida wet season. I’m going to be keeping my eye out for storms forming along the Gulf coast of Florida like this one I captured last summer off Lido Beach ⚡️
🌪 2019 Hurricane Season 🌪
The National Hurricane Center is predicting a near normal season, so now is the time to have your plan and prepare your supplies. Let’s hope for a calmer season than we had last year. Here’s a video I captured last year of a feeder band from Hurricane Michael that produced a brief waterspout/ tornado on Lido Key. Remember even though a storm might not directly hit us, it can still bring us severe weather.
